With cattle roaming the pastures surrounding the network of close to 200 farms (or “støler”, as they are called in this part of Norway), Valdres boasts a wealth of animal life plus a multitude of cultural heritage and nature sites, ranging from wetlands to mountain peaks.   

This is the kingdom of livestock and their summer paradise, living the good life in natural surroundings forming the hallmark of Valdres’ uniqueness and lasting impressions for our welcome visitors.
