About Finnskogen Nature & Culture Park

Finnskogen Nature and Cultural Park on the Norwegian map

Finnskogen – the Finn Forest – is not like any other forest. Visiting this vast, beautiful area on the boarder between Norway and Sweden, you will feel the extra dimension of Finnish traditions, culture and mystery. Dotted with small farms, wooded hills, and serene ponds and lakes, you can discover the peace of the wilderness in Finnskogen.

In Finnskogen we are used to having a calm pace. It is as if the time is a little slower here. You become more aware of your breath. Your senses. It´s important for us that the locals have a good life, opportunities, and that we take care of the traditons, the nature and each other. When you visit Finnskogen, we would like you to arrive as our guest and return as our friend.

Finnskogen Nature & culture park is the only cross-boarder regional park, and is the very heart of Scandinavia. Located just 100 kilometers northeast of Oslo, and a few hours from some of Scandinavia´s largest cities, the region is easy accessible. Arriving at Oslo Airport Gardermoen, you are just an hour away from memorable adventures in magical Finnskogen.
